Overview
Clam AntiVirus
Checking both incoming and outgoing email at the server's kernel level, the risk of infecting internal and external addressees is much lower as well. Antivirus protection based on ClamAV software, designed especially for e-mail scanning on mail gateways. The main purpose of the ClamAV is scanning of the multi-format attachments, such as MS Office and MacOffice documents, PDF, HTML, archives, executables, compressed executables, obfuscated with Sue, Y0da Cryptor and others.

SpamAssassin
SpamAssassin is integrated into the server that identifies junk email. It is regarded as one of the most effective antispam software, used in a combination with spam databases. SpamAssassin prevents the user from an unnecessary or non-personal mail obtaining.

Using the heuristic engine in SpamAssassin, each email message is analyzed for multiple anti-spam rules and provides with a numerical rating giving the base for the rules matching. If the message rating exceeds the spam threshold, the message is marked as a spam and then filtered according to the user's wishes.

In order to increase the success rate and tailor the spam filter to the individual needs, ExpertSpace.net server allows Outlook and WebMail users to easy training the Bayesian filter in SpamAssassin for every miscategorized email message. The Bayesian filter can also be trained by dragging and dropping email in or out of's Junk E-mail folder in Apple Mail or any other IMAP email client. SpamAssassin then compares incoming messages to spam messages reported by other users, and sees how similar they are to those reported messages.

Realtime blacklists
Realtime blacklist checks sender's IP address. If the IP address is in the database of open-relay servers identified as spammers, the incoming email is refused.

Spam URI realtime block lists
Spam URI RBL blocks messages that contains hyperlinks in the message body associated with spam hosts. SURBLs are not used to block spam senders. Instead they allow you to block messages that have spam hosts that are mentioned in message bodies.

Custom filtering
Custom filtering by address, subject, content or message size helps reject emails from spammers unknown for public blacklists. It initiates a creation of your personal blacklist.

Sender policy framework verification
Sender Policy Framework verification provides the authentication scheme by specifying which computers are authorized to send email from a specific domain. It helps counter forged "From" addresses in email. Using SPF provides better guarantee that the email came from the domain that it asserts it came from.

Sender's domain verification
Sender's domain verification rejects emails when sender's email address is using an invalid or fake domain name.

Spam repellent
Spam Repellent prevents from spam zombies and viruses by delaying replies during the SMTP handshake. Since spam mailers and viruses are very impatient when it comes to SMTP communication, they don't wait if the replies from a target mail server are not timely, and simply move on to try another target. By injecting an artificial time delay of a couple of seconds into the SMTP handshake, server may filter up to 60-70 percent of spam and viruses without ever receiving the messages for analysis.

Directory harvest attack protection
DHA is a technique used by spammers in an attempt to find e-mail addresses. It is usually carried out by generating a list that combines initials or common names. The success of a DHA depends on the mail server sending automated replies to the sender for non-existent address.

Any addresses that do not respond with a reply are considered to be valid and are added to the spammers list. To prevent Directory Harvest Attacks, server monitors any unusual change in SMTP activity. Once this attack is recognized, it applies several defensive techniques such as slowing down responses, cutting off connections and faking responses.

SSL encryption
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is cryptographic protocol which provides secure communications across the Internet in a way designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery. SSL uses a cryptographic system with two keys to encrypt data − a public key known to everyone and a secret key known only to the recipient. All URLs that use an SSL connection start with https instead of http.
It is highly recommended that you only use SSL encryption. Please establish secure connection every time before the process of log in.

Remote PDA Wipe
Remote Wipe is a feature that enables you to force a device to delete its contents remotely. This means that the wipe removes all data to the device as well as any attachments, including those which are stored on the memory card. This may be helpful when the device gets lost or stolen.
Remote hard restart is supported by Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU2 only.

Data backup
Every night the server makes a backup of your information.

Power backup
Uninterruptible Power Supply provides a continuous supply of electric power to the server when primary power is not available.
